To make a PewDiePie AI voice song cover responsibly, use a cover tool only after you have permission to impersonate his voice, clear the underlying song rights, and confirm the vendor allows your intended release. Build the track from a legally obtained instrumental, convert the vocal with an authorized model, label the result as AI, and keep it private unless every right is cleared.
What You Need Before Converting The Vocal
- Voice consent: A public figure’s name or voice is not permission. Use a PewDiePie voice model only when you have authorization from the relevant rights holder, and retain that permission.
- Song rights: A cover still uses the composition and possibly the sound recording. Obtain the licences required for your distribution channel.
- Source files: Use a legally obtained song file or your own performance. Do not rip a recording from a streaming service.
- Disclosure: Identify the vocal as AI-generated and avoid presenting it as an official PewDiePie release. Spotify says vocal impersonation is allowed only when the impersonated artist has authorized it, and it supports DDEX AI disclosures in credits (Spotify’s AI music policy announcement). Spotify also introduced an AI Persona badge for identities that may be AI-generated (Spotify’s AI Persona announcement).

None of these entries establishes that a PewDiePie model is available. Search the vendor’s current voice library or model documentation, and confirm that the specific model is authorized before uploading audio.
Step-By-Step PewDiePie Cover Workflow
- Document consent. Record who authorized the voice use, which song and platforms are covered, the allowed term, and whether commercial distribution is permitted. If you cannot document this, stop at a private experiment.
- Clear the song. Identify the songwriter, publisher and recording owner. Obtain the permissions required for the exact upload or release destination.
- Prepare an instrumental. If you have a lawful mixed recording, use LALAL.AI to separate vocals and instruments, then check the preview for bleed. Its free Starter plan does not provide full result downloads, so a downloadable stem requires a paid plan.
- Set the musical target. Keep the original tempo, key and phrasing unless you have a reason to change them.
