To make plugg music with AI, generate a sparse, melodic beat first, then shape the pocket manually: use syncopated drums, short bell or key motifs, sliding bass movement, and enough empty space for the vocal. Beat Shaper, Soundverse AI Beat Maker, and InsMelo AI Beat Maker are the most direct starting points because they generate editable instrumentals and offer MIDI or stem workflows. Use Suno, Udio, or Eleven Music when you need a complete vocal reference, then rebuild or edit the strongest sections.
What Makes A Plugg Beat Work
Keep the arrangement light enough for the melody to lead. Write a two- to four-bar motif with bright bell, key, or synth wording in the prompt, leave pauses between phrases, and ask for syncopated drums with a rounded sub-bass. Treat these as creative directions, not guaranteed genre presets: none of the listed product facts confirms a dedicated “plugg” mode, so audition several generations and check the result by ear.

Step 1: Write A Plugg-Specific Prompt
- State the format first: “instrumental plugg beat, 145 BPM, four-bar loop, two-minute arrangement.”
- Describe the pocket: “syncopated hi-hats, sparse kick pattern, soft snare, sliding sub-bass, lots of negative space.”
- Describe the melodic color: “bright detuned bell lead, glassy keys, short call-and-response phrases.”
- Control structure: “intro, hook, verse, hook, eight-bar breakdown, final hook; no vocals.”
- Add exclusions when needed: “avoid dense orchestration, rock drums, long sustained pads, and busy counter-melodies.”
Generate several versions with one variable changed at a time. If the melody is right but the drums are too busy, keep the prompt and change only the drum instruction.
Step 2: Generate The Instrumental
Beat Shaper
Set genre, mood, energy, and syncopation controls, then edit the result in its piano roll. Use MIDI or stem export for a DAW session. The Creator plan is €9 per month and includes unlimited generations, unlimited song lengths, MIDI, MP3, and WAV downloads, plus commercial usage rights. Ableton Live project export and real-time MIDI require Producer.

- Export stems or MIDI where your plan allows it.

- Trim fills that interrupt the vocal pocket.
- Make a short intro and an eight-bar breakdown by removing drums or bass, then restore the full groove.

- Keep the generation date, prompt, source files, and license page with the project so you can verify what you are allowed to release.
