Product: AeroSpace is an i3-like tiling window manager for macOS.
Window layouts: It arranges windows using a tree based model with tiles, accordion, and floating layouts.
Workspaces: It emulates virtual workspaces instead of relying on native macOS Spaces.
Configuration: It uses a plain text TOML configuration and provides a command line interface with shell completion.
Automation: Callbacks can run commands when windows, focus, or workspaces change, including rules that place apps on specified workspaces.
Integration: A workspace change callback can trigger Sketchybar and pass it the focused workspace name.
Multi monitor support: Workspaces are shared across monitors, and each workspace has an assigned monitor.
Security: The project says AeroSpace is not notarized by Apple, and that its Homebrew installation script removes the quarantine attribute.
System requirements: The AeroSpace binary runs on macOS 13 or later.
Project status: AeroSpace is in public beta; the project says breaking changes may occur before version 1.0.
Support: The project asks users to start with GitHub Discussions rather than filing issues directly.
Intended users: The project targets advanced users and developers and describes itself as keyboard centric.
