The record

Purpose: BGR helps boards prepare and run meetings, capture decisions, and give each director a personalized brief.
Meeting workflow: The product covers meeting preparation, live capture, minutes and resolutions, and follow-up records.
Governance flags: A hybrid engine applies fixed rules first and AI review second to flag governance issues, and the flags are not a full audit.
Director briefs: Each director receives a watermarked brief showing only material they are entitled to see, which can be saved as a PDF.
AI features: AI can answer governance questions and draft minutes, resolutions, and agendas; a person reviews every output, and AI is optional.
Storage and retention: Board files stay in the organization’s own storage, while BGR keeps a working copy for 30 days and allows an administrator to delete it sooner.
Security: BGR states that it uses mandatory two-factor sign-in, role-based access, activity logs, and encryption in transit and at rest.
Board separation: Each board is walled off in the database so users cannot see another board’s information, including administrators.
Live capture: Live meeting capture can use on-device voice, quick buttons, and a shared live stream, and the page says no audio is stored.
Integrations: The roadmap lists board portal integrations as a future feature; the page does not name an available third-party integration.
Intended users: BGR is described for nonprofit and for-profit boards and their committees.
Support: The legal page lists [email protected] and 1-250-686-9940 as contact details.
Trial: BGR says it has no free trial, but visitors can preview a sample without signing up.
Maker: BGR is operated by MarkR Management Inc., based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
