Blue Ink Tech BIT ELD

Purpose: BIT ELD plugs into a vehicle diagnostic port and keeps FMCSA-compliant HOS logs, DVIRs, and IFTA miles in one app.
FMCSA registration: Blue Ink Tech says its ELDs are FMCSA registered and directs users to the FMCSA list to verify registered models.
Installation: The ELD connects to the vehicle through a diagnostic port and supports 9-pin and OBD-II connections.
Inspections: The product includes Driver and Inspector cards for roadside inspections.
App and portal trial: The Blue Ink Tech app and web portal are free to use so prospective customers can try them before buying the ELD.
Driver support: The app supports team driving and drive-time swapping, with drivers able to share a device or use separate devices.
Compatibility requirement: Compatible phones or tablets need Bluetooth 4.0 or better, GPS, and the ability to download apps from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Privacy and data: The privacy policy says the ELD adapter reads vehicle data and that BIT stores data on web servers, browsers, mobile devices, and its products.
API: Blue Ink Tech says each account can create scoped read-only or read/write API keys, with REST and JSON access to users, vehicles, locations, routes, logs, inspections, and jobs.
Integration examples: The integrations page lists Draivn, Trucker Cloud, Hey Bubba AI, ITS Logistics, and Catena as partners or integrations.
Support: The company says support is U.S.-based and in-house, and lists phone support at 304-381-1512 and [email protected].
Warranty and returns: The BIT ELD has a one-year manufacturer warranty for hardware defects and a 30-day money-back return period.
Who it serves: The product is presented for drivers and fleets seeking HOS compliance, DVIRs, IFTA mileage reporting, and fleet data in one platform.
