Dodonai Conflict Check

Purpose: The Conflict Check Agent scans new matters against a firm's conflicts database and ethical walls before the firm commits to a matter.
Full-text search: It searches prior matter records, notes, and attached documents, not only party-name fields.
Related parties: It checks for relationships involving spouses, co-counsel, parent and subsidiary entities, and common beneficial owners.
Ethical walls: It enforces ethical walls configured between practice groups or specific attorneys.
Conflict memo: It produces a memo surfacing matching records and a recommended disposition.
Audit trail: It logs each check in an audit trail the page says supports Model Rule 1.7 and state-bar conflict-checking requirements.
Integrations: The page lists Clio, MyCase, Practice Panther, SmokeBall, NetDocuments, iManage, Clio Drive, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and email as integrations or connected tools.
Existing process: The agent runs alongside the firm's existing conflict check, which remains the system of record.
Attorney review: The agent flags possible conflicts; the attorney of record decides whether to take or decline the matter.
Security: Dodonai says it is covered by SOC 2 and advises customers to request report information to confirm the covered system and reporting period.
Data handling: For custom deployments, hosting can be in the firm's cloud account or Dodonai's, with hosting, access, model processors, retention, export, and termination specified in the Blueprint.
Pricing: The maker says managed-service builds are priced as fixed fees from a Blueprint, with exact pricing approved before work starts; it does not publish a Conflict Check Agent price on the product page.
Review output: It produces a conflict memo with matching records and a recommended disposition for review.
Human decision: The agent flags possible conflicts, while the attorney of record decides whether to take or decline the matter.
