Drawpile

Drawpile is a free drawing, painting, sketching, and animation program for people collaborating on the same canvas; it can also be used offline. It includes over 200 built-in brushes, multiple brush engines, a brush editor, and stroke stabilization. Layers and layer groups support blend modes, alpha preserve, clipping groups, masking, and alpha lock. Animation features include a timeline and onion skins. Canvas files can be saved as OpenRaster or PSD, and images can be pasted from files or other programs. Users can join official community servers without setting up their own infrastructure, or host their own Drawpile server. External authentication lets users access potentially untrusted third-party servers without sending those servers their password, and lets site owners connect existing accounts. The program says it does not transfer information to other networked systems unless specifically requested by a user or operator. Drawpile is available on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and the web; on iPhone and iPad, its browser version works, but there is no native iOS app.
