The record

Purpose: EngageNow is a mobile app for UK school staff to find local school jobs and manage their work.
Audience: The app is for teaching, SEND, school support, administration, and back-office staff seeking day-to-day, short-term, long-term, or permanent roles.
Job alerts: The app sends push notifications when roles matching a user's profile become available, and notification preferences can be customised.
Applications: Users can view a matching job's school, date, role, and pay, then apply from the app; an Engage Education consultant confirms the booking.
Scheduling: Users can set availability day by day, mark unavailable days, and manage their calendar and upcoming bookings.
Timesheets: The home dashboard shows upcoming work and pending timesheets, and users can track whether submitted work has been approved.
Matching preferences: Users can update roles, subjects, key stages, qualifications, and travel distance to receive more relevant job matches.
CPD and referrals: Registered users can access free role-relevant CPD resources and invite friends through a referral feature that awards Amazon vouchers for qualifying work.
Registration requirement: EngageNow works alongside registration with Engage Education, and the app guides unregistered users through that process.
Privacy: The maker says personal information is used to match users with jobs and manage bookings, is not sold to third parties, and app activity is visible to Engage Education and schools the user engages with.
Support and payroll: Users can contact their Engage Education consultant or the app support team, and payment is processed by Engage Education's in-house payroll team based on approved timesheets.
Security: The maker's school-platform page says EngageNow uses AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, and role-based access controls, and is hosted on Microsoft Azure.
