The record

Purpose: Family Focus is a co-parenting app for separated or divorced parents to communicate, coordinate, and keep shared records.
Messaging: Messages are organized in a chronological family thread, server timestamped, and cannot be edited or deleted after posting.
Documents: Parents can upload PDFs, images, and Word files into Court, Medical, School, and Other categories.
Schedule: The shared monthly custody calendar supports parent color coding, notes, event updates, and notifications when events change.
Expenses: Parents can log child-related expenses, split costs by custom percentages, attach receipt photos, mark items settled, and view a running balance.
Observers: Attorneys, mediators, and Attorneys for the Child can receive view-only access to a family’s records, and professionals can follow multiple client families from one account.
Exports: Users can export message threads, calendar ranges, expense histories, and document sets as PDFs.
Security: The maker says data is stored on Google Cloud Firebase, encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by database rules that restrict access to a user’s family.
Privacy: The privacy policy says the operator does not use family data for advertising, profiling, content analytics, or machine-learning training, and does not sell or rent it.
Data access: The maker says it does not routinely read family content, while its policy describes limited access for legal compulsion, security investigations, explicit user requests, and operational needs.
Account deletion: Deleting an account removes or pseudonymizes account-level identifiers where feasible, but historical messages remain accessible to the co-parent with attribution.
Support: Support is available through the website form or [email protected], and the maker says a real person typically responds within one business day.
Sign-in: The app supports sign-up using email, Apple, or Google.
Legal limits: Family Focus says it is a communication and record-keeping tool, does not provide legal advice, and does not guarantee that records are admissible in court.
