Purpose: FBX2glTF is a command-line tool that converts Autodesk FBX 3D model assets to glTF 2.0.
Downloads: Precompiled binaries are provided for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Windows builds: Bleeding-edge Windows binaries are available through AppVeyor, while Linux and Mac OS X users can build their own.
Output formats: The CLI can output a separate glTF representation or a single binary .glb file, and can embed buffers as data URIs.
Animation: Every FBX animation is baked into the glTF output, and blend shapes are supported.
Animation limitation: Baked animation can create potentially very large files, especially for complex rigs.
Compression: Optional Draco compression can reduce mesh size but requires a viewer that supports KHR_draco_geometry_compression.
PBR integration: Metallic-roughness PBR conversion supports Stingray PBS, which is bundled with Maya; Substance Painter also exports Stingray PBS when connected to Maya.
