The record

Purpose: Generosity Works provides charity fundraising event software covering auctions, pledges, ticketing, Gift Aid and table planning.
Auction types: The platform supports silent, live and sealed-bid auctions, including outbid alerts, anti-snipe, tablet mode and bidding without an account.
Pledges and Gift Aid: It provides tiered live pledges, automatic HMRC Gift Aid splitting, regular giving by card or standing order, matched giving and a donor wall.
Ticketing: Event management includes ticket tiers, tables of ten, VIP packages, early-bird pricing, capacity limits, named guests and per-guest QR codes.
Offline operation: An on-site event server runs the evening without relying on venue Wi-Fi, and QR check-in does not require a third-party API.
Payments: Customers enter their own Stripe keys so payments settle directly into the charity's account, with Generosity Works not holding funds or adding transaction fees.
Payment wallets: The platform supports card-on-file, automatic charging of winners, Apple Pay and Google Pay, fee cover and refunds.
Messaging: Guest communications support email, SMS and WhatsApp, including outbid and closing alerts at no per-message cost.
CRM export: Supporter records containing totals, seats, bids and Gift Aid status can be exported in formats expected by CRM import wizards.
Integrations: Virtual auctions accept YouTube, Vimeo or Zoom links and derive the embeddable URL automatically.
Security and compliance: The event system provides a proper GDPR erase for people who request it and records raffle entries, winning position and draw time for auditability.
Audience limits: The event-management product is designed for evenings serving roughly 50 to 1,000 people and is not positioned for four-day conferences with 3,000 delegates.
Virtual auction limitation: Generosity Works states that its virtual auction product is not streaming software and does not encode video, mix cameras or broadcast to platforms.
Maker: Generosity Works was founded by Kevin Durham, who built the platform himself after working in television and charity fundraising.
