GymAxess

Product: GymAxess combines hardware and software for gym and studio door access control.
Setup: Its plug-and-play setup connects readers and locks to a hub.
Member management: GymAxess integrates with the gym’s member management software to determine whether members can enter at a given time.
Credentials: Members can use Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, QR codes, barcodes, fobs, or cards, and the site says no app is required.
Wallet onboarding: Members receive an email with onboarding instructions and a link to add their membership card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Credential limitation: The FAQ says members must choose either a physical membership card or a digital card and cannot use both at the same time.
Apple Wallet compatibility: The FAQ says Apple Wallet cards work on iPhone 6 and later and WatchOS 4 and later.
Access security: GymAxess says Apple Wallet passes use iCloud binding to link a pass to a personal iCloud account and prevent unauthorized use or duplication.
Privacy and compliance: The privacy policy identifies GymAxess B.V. as the GDPR/UK GDPR data controller for app user data and a processor of gym subscription data used for access.
Data collected: The privacy policy says the app may collect location, contact details, usage data, and—with permission—location and camera or photo-library information.
Security disclosure: The privacy policy says GymAxess uses commercially acceptable measures to protect personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Support: Gym members with unresolved pass issues are directed to contact their gym, while the site also provides a contact form for questions and partnership inquiries.
Fallback access: The FAQ says reception staff can check in members manually if an iPhone or Apple Watch runs out of battery.
