KakaoCloud Container Registry

KakaoCloud Container Registry is a managed cloud repository for storing and managing Docker container images. It works with standard Docker images and Docker CLI authentication, push and pull workflows, and integrates with KakaoCloud Kubernetes Engine for image management and deployment. IAM roles distinguish repository members, who can push and pull, from viewers, who can pull only. Trivy can scan for CVE-based vulnerabilities daily or when images are pushed. Users can review image and tag history and recover earlier image versions or deleted tags. Repositories can also be public, allowing KakaoCloud-authenticated users who know the URI to pull without separate repository authentication. Default quotas are 1,000 repositories per project, 10,000 images per repository and 1,000 tags per image; quota increases can be requested. The service supports OCI artifacts, immutable tags, retention policies and lifecycle rules. It includes 1 GB of storage, with a maximum object size of 50 GB. The listed storage plan provides 1 GiB free, then charges 0.14 won per GiB/hour above that amount, VAT excluded. Outbound traffic includes 30 GiB free; additional usage is billed by tier, VAT excluded.
