The record

What it does: Kanonu Events provides ticketing, guest check-in, payments, digital passes, and reporting for nonprofit fundraisers and events.
Event types: The maker lists galas with seating charts, golf tournaments with foursomes and sponsorships, and general-admission fundraisers.
Fundraising: The platform includes mobile silent auctions, paddle raises, and donations, with live bidding alerts and a projector display for fundraising totals.
Seating: Organizers can design seating charts themselves for free, and guests can choose tables on a live map.
Payments: Payments run through Stripe, and the maker says card data never touches Kanonu Events' servers.
Payment handling: Payouts settle directly to the organization's account, and Kanonu Events says it never holds the money.
Conferences: Conference features include tiered registration, capped workshops, badge printing, QR check-in, and an attendee hub opened from a link.
Tournaments: Tournament tools include schedule generation, pools and brackets, live scores, and referee assignment with conflict checks.
Mobile app: The free iOS and Android app supports event discovery, tickets, tournament schedules, and organizer and volunteer check-in modes; the maker specifies iOS 17 or later.
Integrations: The maker names Stripe for payments and support for Apple Pay, Google Pay, Apple Wallet, and Google Wallet passes.
Security: The maker says prices, inventory holds, bids, and admissions are decided server-side, and that each QR pass admits exactly once.
Notable limits: Organization payout setup must be completed before its first event goes on sale, using a Stripe-hosted verification.
Support: The maker says it replies to inquiries within a day and lists email support at [email protected].
AI setup assistant: The AI assistant drafts event details and pricing for organizers to review; it cannot publish, save prices, charge anyone, or invent details.
