The record

Purpose: The US MBD provides salary survey data across nine functional modules to help organizations benchmark compensation.
Data scale: Mercer says the database contains compensation data from over 8 million incumbents.
Coverage: The survey covers thousands of jobs across skill levels and career streams, including traditional and emerging positions.
Delivery: Survey results are delivered through Mercer WIN, an online platform with customizable data parameters.
Benchmarking: Mercer WIN supports benchmarking traditional and hybrid jobs, comparing against peers or competitors, customizing metrics, and off-cycle benchmarking.
Skills insights: The platform can identify the six most common skills associated with a role.
Export: Users can download .xls data files for importing into a compensation management system.
Integrations: Mercer says it integrates with select third-party compensation systems but does not name them on the product page.
User limit: A survey purchase includes access for up to three company users, and additional users can be added during checkout.
Pricing limit: The listed module prices distinguish participants from non-participants, and Mercer says consulting or commercial use is subject to different rates.
Participation: Survey participation is open to organizations with matching jobs, and the page states the 2026 participation window is closed.
Support: Mercer WIN users can access a user guide and additional help resources inside the platform.
Browser support: Mercer says Internet Explorer is no longer supported on imercer.com and recommends Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
Company brand: Mercer says it is transitioning to the Marsh name while retaining its data, methodology, platform access, and support.
