The record

Purpose: Metis Room Planner helps event and wedding planners, suppliers, venues and hospitality teams create scaled event layouts, visualize them in 3D, make seating charts and share plans with clients.
Design tools: The planner includes drag-and-drop furniture placement, preset seating layouts, auto-layout tools and background floor plan imports with scale calibration.
Layout checks: Layout Optimisation generates ranked alternatives for goals such as capacity, walkways and fire-exit clearance, while Check Current Fit audits overlaps and obstacles.
3D venue scans: Pro, Team and Enterprise plans support GLB/GLTF venue scans and automatic extraction of walls, doors, windows and obstacles.
Exports: The product exports floor plans as SVG, JSON and print-ready formats; its FAQ says SVG can be opened in design tools or printed to PDF.
Client collaboration: Pro, Team and Enterprise include client review links that let clients view plans and comment without an account.
Website widget: The website widget lets venues or planners publish measured room layouts on their websites so visitors can try guest counts and layouts and submit enquiries.
API integration: The Metis API connects booking systems, websites and other tools to Metis, supporting room reads, plan creation from bookings and retrieval of finished plan PDFs and images.
API access controls: API keys can be scoped, individually revoked, rotated and audited, and test keys are available for sandbox use.
Account security: The product offers TOTP two-factor authentication, and Pro, Team and Enterprise support Microsoft single sign-on using OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0 with PKCE.
Support: Pro includes email support with a stated response within one business day, and phone support is available on larger Enterprise agreements.
Trial limit and data: The 14-day trial is limited to one user and two floor plans; after it ends, the account pauses and plans remain stored for 30 days.
Custom furniture: Every account, including trials, gets one custom furniture item free; subsequent work is quoted before it starts.
