The record

Purpose: Minotaur is a Gradle plugin for uploading build artifacts to Modrinth and syncing project bodies.
Publishing: The `modrinth` Gradle task uploads a version to Modrinth.
Build scripts: The README shows usage with both Groovy and Kotlin Gradle DSLs.
Project body sync: The `modrinthSyncBody` task can sync text such as a project's README to its Modrinth project body.
Upload metadata: The plugin supports version numbers, changelogs, release types, game versions, loaders, and dependencies.
Automatic detection: Game versions and loaders can often be detected automatically in ForgeGradle and Fabric Loom environments.
API configuration: The API endpoint is configurable and defaults to `https://api.modrinth.com/v2`.
Authentication: The `modrinth` task requires a personal access token with the `CREATE_VERSION` scope, while body syncing requires `PROJECT_WRITE`.
Safety option: With `debugMode` enabled, Minotaur prints the upload data without actually uploading the version.
Destructive limitation: The README warns that after a project body is changed through syncing, it cannot be recovered.
Support: The README says Modrinth supports Minotaur and does not provide support for the alternative `mc-publish` GitHub Action.
Intended users: Modrinth describes Minotaur as a way for creators to integrate their build tools and automatically upload new versions when they release them.
Current release: The Gradle Plugin Portal lists version 2.10.0 as the latest version, created September 16, 2026.
License: The repository identifies its license as LGPL-2.1.
