What Mobilizon is
Mobilizon is a free, open-source platform for creating, sharing and finding events while organizing communities. Organizers can create, edit and delete events, save drafts, share them by email or social media, and manage participation. Visitors search for events, activities and groups by keyword, place or date. Groups can publish activity pages, manage members and keep private content, while one account can use multiple identities. Mobilizon uses ActivityPub to exchange content between instances and interact with other Fediverse software. Federation subscriptions are one-way, carry only public content, and exclude events created before subscription. Groups can provide RSS and ICS feeds, and events support standard-format import and export. Each instance provides a GraphQL API, though its behavior may differ by software version. Administrators can moderate users and remove reported unsolicited content. Privacy settings, participant roles and event interaction without registration are supported. Mobilizon runs on web, Linux or self-hosted installations, is available in more than 20 languages, and offers global geocoding.
Who it suits
Mobilizon suits cooperatives, associations, activist groups, teams and public institutions such as cities, universities and schools. It fits organizations wanting self-hosting or federated event publishing.
