ModDevGradle

Purpose: ModDevGradle is a Gradle plugin for developing Minecraft mods using NeoForge.
Builds: The plugin creates the artifacts needed to compile Minecraft mods for NeoForge.
Run configurations: It can run Minecraft from Gradle or IntelliJ for debugging and testing.
Logging: It automatically creates and uses a development friendly logging configuration for mod testing.
Gradle cache: It supports the Gradle configuration cache to speed up repeated Gradle task runs.
Version compatibility: The README lists compatibility with Gradle 8.8 and says NeoForge versions later than 21.0.x are supported.
Vanilla mode: Vanilla mode uses a NeoForm version and supports client, server, and data runs, with basic resource and data packs usable in game.
Testing: The plugin supports mod unit tests with JUnit and can run tests in the context of a Minecraft server using the NeoForge test framework.
Jar embedding: The plugin adds a jarJar configuration for embedding external jar files in a mod.
Mappings: Developers can use community sourced Minecraft parameter names and Javadoc from ParchmentMC.
Repositories: A separate plugin can apply ModDevGradle repositories while using Gradle's centralized repository declaration.
Development only feature: Interface injection applies at development time, and the README says Mixins or Coremods are needed to make the corresponding changes work at runtime.
License: The GitHub repository identifies the project as licensed under LGPL-2.1.
Maker: The project repository is maintained under the NeoForged GitHub organization.
