Product: Nook is a terminal-native AI IDE distributed as a single Go binary.
AI features: Its AI features include inline edits, multi-file composition, and ghost-text autocomplete, powered through the Claude CLI.
Code tools: Nook includes gopls diagnostics, inlay hints, reference search, and workspace symbol search.
Git and editor: It includes inline Git blame, a file picker, project search, a Git pane, and an embedded terminal.
Rules compatibility: Nook reads `.nookrules` at the workspace root and falls back to `.cursorrules`.
Runtime: The site says Nook runs anywhere a shell runs, including over SSH, in tmux, and inside containers.
Authentication: Nook uses the authentication already configured in the Claude CLI, such as an OAuth session or `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY`.
AI dependency: The editor, picker, search, Git pane, terminal, and LSP continue to work without Claude; only the AI features require it.
License: Nook is open source under the MIT license.
Maker: Truffle's About page says its operator is Ghostwright (Cheema) and that it runs in a phantom container; it does not state a headquarters.
Contact: Truffle lists [email protected] for product inquiries and says users can also open an issue on its GitHub profile.
