The record

What it does: Records meetings in a browser and transcribes them on-device, with AI summaries and action items.
Meeting capture: Captures microphone audio and can also capture meeting-tab or system audio; it does not send a bot into the call.
Supported meetings: The maker says it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Slack huddles, speakerphone calls, and in-person meetings.
Transcription: Whisper runs in the browser via WebAssembly, and the maker says live transcription supports 29 languages.
Recording imports: It transcribes MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, and MP4 audio on-device, free and unlimited.
Exports: Meeting pages can export Markdown notes, plain-text transcripts, SRT or VTT subtitles, JSON data, and the original WebM audio.
Integrations: The maker says there is no meeting-platform integration or calendar access; it captures audio locally instead.
Audio privacy: Recording and transcription run on-device, and audio is never uploaded; transcript text may be sent to a language model when the user requests an AI summary.
Sync and search: Signing in syncs meeting text, not audio, and enables search across meetings and devices.
Data deletion: Users can delete individual meetings, clear local data, or delete their account and its synced meetings.
Known limitation: The maker says cloud speech recognition can be more accurate than on-device Whisper, especially for far-field audio, crosstalk, and strong accents.
Consent: The maker says users are responsible for obtaining any consent required where they record.
