The record

Purpose: Parley is an open-source meeting notes app that records conversations, transcribes them, and lets users choose AI models, including local models.
Live transcripts: It produces live transcripts with speakers separated, and its desktop app can capture both sides of an online call.
Meeting reports: After a meeting, Parley creates a report with takeaways, commitments, and next steps linked to timestamps in the recording.
Search: The desktop app can search across its meeting library, including conversations recorded a year earlier.
AI integrations: Listed providers include Soniox, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Groq, Qwen, Kimi, Ollama, OpenRouter, and self-hosted endpoints.
MCP: Parley runs a local MCP server that connects AI clients such as Claude to meeting records; the page says it provides 54 tools.
Voice typing: On Mac, users can dictate into any app with the Option-Space shortcut, and Parley can polish the resulting text with AI.
Local operation: The open-source desktop edition can run entirely on the user's computer with third-party providers and no cloud service enabled.
Cloud data handling: The official cloud edition syncs recordings and transcripts to the user's account and uses Cloudflare D1 and R2 for account data, recording metadata, and audio objects transferred over encrypted connections.
Cloud providers: The privacy policy says cloud live transcription uses Soniox and official AI features use Groq.
Mobile recording limit: The iPhone app records room audio through its microphone and cannot record phone calls, FaceTime, or audio from other apps.
Android availability: The maker's English product page says an Android app is built and syncs to the same account, but is not yet on Google Play.
Support: Parley directs users to email [email protected] for sign-in, account, sync, data, and general product questions.
Maker: The site credits Pathors AI, but the opened maker pages do not state its headquarters or founding year.
