Search: The site offers search and filters, plus search by image and pattern descriptions in words.
Trend reports: Patternbank provides print and pattern trend reports and trend inspiration for buying decisions.
Free membership: Membership is free, while designs and trend reports are purchased separately rather than through a subscription.
License limit: The Commercial license permits sales of up to 500 units, while Commercial Unlimited permits unlimited end products for sale.
Exclusive license: Premium designs are sold once, removed from the studio after purchase, and licensed for unlimited commercial production.
Integrations and payments: Patternbank says website transactions are handled through Braintree and PayPal.
Security: Its privacy policy says it uses password- and firewall-protected servers and encryption for electronic transactions, while noting that internet transmission cannot be guaranteed secure.
Privacy: Patternbank says it will not provide personal information to third parties for direct marketing without express consent.
Support and refunds: Downloaded design purchases are generally non-refundable, but a defective purchase reported within 10 days may be replaced, updated, or refunded; the support team is available for help.
Seller curation: Seller applicants are asked for a portfolio, online presence, and 12 sample designs for review, and the page says the marketplace accepts original human-made work rather than AI-generated artwork.
Audience: The About page identifies customers in fashion, homeware, stationery, and gifts.
