PhotoCal is a free app for creating photo calendars on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Each calendar has a photo pool where you can add pictures, assign them to months and reassign them later. In the preview, you can adjust each photo’s zoom, position and brightness. Layouts include A4 portrait, A4 landscape, A3 and US Letter, with the calendar grid along the bottom or right side. Covers can have a customized title, subtitle and year, with a chosen font and size. Public holidays are included for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the USA and the United Kingdom. Finished calendars export as print-ready PDFs or as ZIP files containing individual JPGs. The exported files can be uploaded to photo services such as dm, CEWE, Rossmann, Pixum or Walgreens; PhotoCal itself does not take print orders. Calendars, photos and photo pools sync automatically through iCloud when devices use the same account. The maker describes the app as a private, non-commercial hobby project and says it has no ads or in-app purchases. It also says photos and calendars remain on the device and no data is sent to servers.
Who it is for
