The record

What it does: posterXXL sells personalized photo products, including wall art, photo books, prints, calendars, cards, and photo gifts.
Wall art: Customers can print photos on canvas, posters, aluminium, acrylic glass, and photo board, with framing options for some products.
Photo books: Photo books are offered in multiple sizes and formats with hardcover or softcover options, and some formats offer layflat binding and glossy paper.
Smart Assistant: The Smart Assistant automatically selects photos, removes duplicates and blurry images, and places selected photos into book layouts that customers can edit afterward.
Photo imports: The app supports importing photos from a device camera roll, Google Photos, Facebook, Instagram, and Dropbox.
Cross-device editing: Projects synchronize between the app and web editor, but not with the desktop app editor.
App features: The mobile app offers automatic photo book layouts, an AI image optimizer, a 3D wall art preview, and Smart Collections.
Desktop options: The maker provides offline photo book software downloads for Mac and Windows; its page directs unsupported operating systems to the online software.
Privacy and payment: The privacy notice says a contracted payment provider processes payment data only to process the order, and describes technical, physical, and organizational safeguards for personal data.
Photo storage limit: Photo storage is not intended as primary or backup storage; accounts need a purchase at least every 18 months to retain stored photos, which may otherwise be permanently removed.
Support: The support page says chatbot Clara is available 24/7 for general questions and order-status updates, with staff available Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00.
