Purpose: Proxyfor is a proxy CLI for capturing and inspecting HTTP(S) and WS(S) traffic.
Proxy modes: It supports both forward and reverse proxy modes.
Interfaces: It provides a terminal user interface and a web user interface.
Traffic tools: It supports filtering and searching captured traffic and can export in Markdown, cURL, or HAR formats.
Capture behavior: It captures requests and responses in a non-blocking, streaming way.
Protocols: It handles HTTP, HTTPS, WebSocket, and secure WebSocket traffic.
HTTPS inspection: Decrypting HTTPS traffic requires installing Proxyfor’s CA certificate on the target device; the project describes a built-in certificate installation app.
Distribution: The project offers installation through Cargo, Docker, or downloadable binaries for macOS, Linux, and Windows.
Deployment: The README documents running Proxyfor in Docker with a mounted configuration directory and port 8080 exposed.
License: Proxyfor is available under either the MIT License or Apache License 2.0, at the user's option.
Filtering limits: The CLI can filter HTTP(S) traffic by a regular expression matching method and URI, or by content type.
