The record

Purpose: Revision Screenwriter is screenwriting software made by a professional writer for anyone who wants to write.
Revision history: Revision files contain drafts, revisions, and passes in a version history that lets users see the history of each script element.
Draft comparison: Users can compare drafts, revisions, or passes side by side, including scripts whose scenes have moved.
Collaboration: Live Collaboration lets writers work on the same script over the internet or a local network; a desktop app is required to host a session.
Production tools: Users can tag script elements and scene information, then generate a populated Movie Magic Scheduling .msd file; the site says this feature is experimental.
Table reads: The desktop app can read scripts aloud using custom voices and generate MP3 or WAV recordings; the voice engine requires an additional download.
File formats: The site says users can export to PDF, .Fountain, .Fadein, and .FDX.
Backups: The app offers autosave, optional parallel backup files in .fountain, .fadein, and .fdx formats, and recovery checkpoints.
Connection details: The site says collaboration uses direct network connections and transmits the entire script and every keystroke between collaborators.
Support: The maker invites suggestions and bug reports by email at [email protected] and through Discord.
Audience: The maker says the software is made for anyone who wants to write and hopes it encourages people to write their stories.
