Purpose: Super Famicast is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System emulator for the Sega Dreamcast.
Emulation base: It is a port of Snes9x and uses Snes9x v1.42 code.
Performance: Many games emulate at full speed with frame skipping.
ROM loading: ROMs can be loaded from CD, and swapping to another CD containing ROMs is supported.
Save support: The emulator saves SRAM and settings to a VMU.
Display: Users can adjust the screen area and enable bilinear filtering to smooth the emulated image.
Themes: It supports switching themes, which can include background music.
Controller support: Users can configure D-Pad or analog-stick input, and use a Dreamcast mouse with supported SNES games.
Sound limitation: The README says enabling sound slows gameplay to about an unplayable state and that sound is out of sync.
VMU limitation: The README says all VMU saves currently go to the first VMU found.
License: The project repository identifies its license as GPL-2.0.
Release history: The GitHub releases page lists versions 1.0 and 2.0, dated January 30 and May 16, 2004, respectively.
Project status: SourceForge labels the project Beta and lists its last update as 2013-03-20.
