The record

Purpose: taktjam combines scheduling, make-up lesson tracking, invoicing and a student practice space for private music teachers and small music schools.
Scheduling: Its scheduling assistant collects student or parent availability through passwordless links and proposes conflict-free recurring lesson schedules.
Invoicing: Invoice support includes Austria, Germany and Switzerland, with Swiss invoices in CHF and a QR bill.
Practice space: Students and parents can access lesson notes, homework, recordings, materials and messages in a browser-based practice space.
AI: Takti is powered by Mistral AI in the EU, and its conversations are not stored.
Integrations: The calendar offers an ICS feed, and school SEPA direct debit supports a pain.008 export for the bank.
Data location: Application data is processed on EU servers, with the company specifying Frankfurt hosting and an included data processing agreement.
Privacy: The practice space has no analytics tools, and message contents have application-level AES-256-GCM encryption; the maker says this is not end-to-end encryption.
Trial terms: The 30-day trial requires no credit card and does not start a paid subscription automatically; afterward the account becomes read-only until a plan is chosen.
Support: The maker offers email and live chat support on weekdays and says replies usually arrive within 24–48 hours.
Intended users: taktjam targets self-employed music teachers and small private music schools in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and identifies the product as B2B.
Notable limitation: Invoicing currently supports Austria, Germany and Switzerland; customers in other countries must bill separately.
Headquarters: Göstling an der Ybbs, Austria
