The record

What it does: Tider turns PDFs, articles, and personal documents into podcast-style audio on Mac or iPhone, with audiobooks generated in the cloud.
On-device generation: Podcasts and summaries are generated on-device and can work offline after the language and voice models are downloaded.
Document input: Users can add PDFs, DOCX files, URLs, or RSS feeds as sources.
Podcast formats: Tider supports a single narrator or a two-person host-and-guest conversation.
Customization: Users can set the narrator persona, audience, tone, pacing, and focus areas.
Audio sources: Users can subscribe to RSS feeds or URLs, which Tider crawls and converts into an audio queue.
Privacy: Tider says documents, generated scripts, and generated audio are processed and stored locally and are not uploaded to its servers.
Cloud exception: Audiobooks are generated on Tider's servers; Pro cloud sync stores saved plans, while documents and audio are not synced or uploaded.
Account data: Tider says it receives an email address when a user creates an account or enables Pro cloud sync, and says it holds no personal data if the user never signs in.
Third-party services: Model files are downloaded from Hugging Face, and Apple handles iOS payments and subscription management.
Support: Tider lists [email protected] for questions about Tider or Pro.
Availability: The site lists downloads for macOS, Linux, and iPhone.
