The record

What it does: OpenCloud DaaS provides secure, cloud-hosted virtual desktops using Inuvika OVD Enterprise.
Access: Users can access virtual desktops from iOS, Android, and Chrome OS devices.
Deployment: The service is available in managed and unmanaged tiers through US Signal’s OpenCloud environment.
Billing: Billing is based on peak concurrent users during a calendar month, regardless of activity.
Security: The product page describes encryption, multi-factor authentication, and compliance-ready controls as security features.
Use cases: US Signal identifies remote and hybrid teams, contractors or seasonal users, organizations with compliance needs, and reducing device refresh cycles as use cases.
Management: The managed tier includes patching, user profile and session management, monitoring, and administration of published desktops and applications.
Unmanaged support: For unmanaged DaaS, US Signal is responsible only for platform issues requiring escalation to Inuvika support; the customer handles desktop and application configuration, patching, maintenance, and end-user support.
Performance limit: GPU-accelerated desktops are not supported at this time; US Signal says GPU support is on the roadmap for Q4.
Network requirement: The schedule gives 256 kbps per user as Inuvika’s recommended baseline for basic use, with higher bandwidth needed for streaming media, high-resolution graphics, or other resource-intensive applications.
Data retrieval: After termination, customers have 30 calendar days to retrieve their data before US Signal destroys remaining data.
Support: The OpenCloud data sheet states that OpenCloud offers 24/7/365 support and managed and professional services from local experts.
