The record

Purpose: Verifit runs Right to Work checks, supplier due diligence and document verification with an audit trail.
Document checks: Uploads are checked for format, legibility, date consistency and expiry before human review.
Screening: Workflows can include sanctions-list and adverse-media screening with scheduled re-screening.
Review controls: Ambiguous matches and failed checks can be routed to named reviewers with a required written rationale.
Audit exports: The platform keeps an append-only, time-stamped activity log and offers ordered PDF/CSV evidence-pack exports.
API status: The JSON API and webhooks for triggering checks and retrieving results are in early access with design partners.
Mobile app status: The companion document-capture app for iOS and Android is in development.
Security: The platform states that data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and exhibit views are logged.
Data location: Customer data is processed and stored in the UK by default using Cloudflare infrastructure.
Automated decisions: Verifit says machine signals assist review, but a human examiner confirms every final finding about a person.
Not an IDSP: Verifit says it is not a certified Identity Service Provider and describes itself as workflow software, not legal advice.
Criminal record checks: Criminal record checking is not a Verifit function, and the policy says it has no connection to a criminal records service.
Intended users: The site presents use cases for recruitment, procurement, construction, property and professional-services teams.
Support: The site says demo and pricing enquiries receive a reply within one business day.
