India has Top Information Technology Parks in India, which employs more than 3 million (may vary) people, either directly or indirectly, making India one of the biggest IT capitals in the modern world.

1] International Tech Park- Bangalore

Established in 1998, ITPB, formerly known as ITPL, is India’s first hi-tech IT Park, developed and managed by Ascendas, a business space, and industrial real estate investment trust.

The park comprises of more than 223 companies and a community of 320,000 technically proficient IT professionals working for it. ITPL received the ‘Best Ornamental Garden Award’ in 2008.

Stretching over 2,000,000 sq.ft. of land, the park has an Earth station, Wi-Fi connectivity, health club, mall, and above all, Vivanta by Taj- The only five-star hotel in Whitefield.

2] The Hyderabad Information Technology and Engineering Consultancy City (HITEC) – Hyderabad

HITEC (L&T Infocity) City is the largest IT Park in India. The project has been completed by APIIC (Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) with the involvement of other private infrastructure companies like DLF, EmmarMGF, etc.

The IT Park acts as a major IT hub of Hyderabad, comprising of some esteemed companies in the IT sector like TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) Synergy park IT SEZ, DLF IT SEZ, Mindspace Cyberabad space.

3] SIPCOT IT Park- Chennai

SIPCOT stands for State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu. It was established in the year 1972 and is a complete government-owned premier institution.

SIPCOT IT Park is the biggest IT Park in Asia located along the IT Corridor. (Major road stretch in suburban Chennai, comprising of many IT companies). Companies in SIPCOT include:

4] TIDEL Park- Chennai

Built-up, an area of 1,280,000 sq ft, TIDEL Park, is one of Asia’s largest IT park. The park was established on July 4(2000), developed by TIDEL Park Ltd.

The name of the park comes from the blending of two names of the two organizations viz, TIDCO (TamilNadu Industrial Development Corporation) and ELCOT (Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu).

These two organizations have been the leading promoters of the IT facility in Tamil Nadu.

TIDEL Park has a complete centralized air-conditioning system, an independent power supply, and hosts some prominent software and telecommunication companies (Sify, HCL technologies, es, and Cisco Systems).

5] Technopark- Trivandrum

Technopark is the host of 225 (5 PCMM level 5, 6 CMMI level 5 and 4 CMM level 3) companies, employing over 30,000 IT professionals. The park covers an area of 300 acres and is entirely for IT ventures. The government of Kerala owns and administers this IT park. The park hosts a Technology Business Incubation Cell and a Software Competency Centre.
