Overview

Rehab Guru is a clinic platform for exercise prescription, patient follow-up and day-to-day administration. It is best suited to rehabilitation and musculoskeletal teams that want those jobs in one system, though smaller clinics should weigh its free-tier cap and Basic plan add-ons carefully.

Its exercise library and remote monitoring make it useful between appointments, while Pro is the more complete choice for clinics that need clinical records and booking tools included rather than priced separately.

Key features

Exercise programming: More than 6,000 exercises and over 280 ready-made templates give clinicians a broad base for building patient programmes. This is a clear strength for practices where exercise prescription is central to care.
Remote monitoring: Clinicians can track adherence, outcomes, pain, wellness and RPE remotely. That supports follow-up between visits, rather than limiting the platform to programme delivery.
Clinic administration: Patient records and appointment reminders sit alongside bookings, invoicing, online payments, treatment notes and patient forms. The catch is that Basic charges separately for several of those administrative tools.
Telehealth: Browser-based appointments support individual and group video calls without requiring downloads, a practical option for clinics that provide remote consultations.
Connected workflow: Therapist and client apps run on iOS, Android and the web, with synchronisation between devices. Integrations include Cliniko, Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Nookal, coreplus, Scan.com and Strength by Numbers. Enterprise integrations can connect to systems through FHIR, HL7 or Redox Engine.
Security and support: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and the trust centre identifies ISO 27001:2022 and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications. Basic support uses an online portal and ticketing system; Pro adds priority support.

Pricing

Rehab Guru uses a freemium model, with a 30-day Pro trial that requires no credit card upfront. The trial provides a way to assess the fuller feature set before choosing a plan.

Free — free: Includes six clients, full access to exercises and templates, and no sending limits. It excludes add-on modules and customisation. This can suit a clinician exploring exercise delivery, but the six-client ceiling and absence of bookings, payments, notes and forms make it a poor fit as a clinic grows.
Basic — 10.00 USD per month, billed Monthly: Includes one user licence and 5,000 exercises. Appointments, invoicing, payments, treatment notes and forms each cost £5/mo as add-ons. The entry price may suit a solo practitioner who needs the exercise tools and only selected clinic functions, but adding several essentials narrows the price advantage.
Pro — 20.00 USD per month, billed Monthly: Includes Basic features, appointments and online payments, plus treatment notes, patient forms, body charts and file uploads. Priority support is included. This is the stronger fit for a practitioner who wants core administration bundled rather than assembled through Basic add-ons.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Adds custom integrations, advanced permissions, dedicated support and training to Pro, under a fixed-term contract. It is aimed at organisations that need tailored system connections and a more supported deployment.

The Free and Basic plans are described as standard support, while Pro includes priority support. The pricing terms provided give no annual discount or paid-plan seat expansion beyond the single Basic user licence, so clinics should ensure the selected plan matches their staffing needs.

Platforms

Rehab Guru is available on Android, iOS and the web. The therapist and client apps synchronise across those platforms, which suits teams and patients who move between devices.

Who it's for

The product is intended for physiotherapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation teams, MSK clinics, occupational health providers, chiropractors and elite sports organisations. It is most compelling for those that combine exercise programmes with remote progress tracking and clinic administration. A solo practitioner can start on Free or Basic, but the Free client limit and Basic add-on charges are meaningful constraints; larger organisations may find Enterprise more appropriate when they need custom integrations, permissions or training. The company says co-founder Simon Taylor built its first iteration in 2012.

Pros and cons

Pro: A library of over 6,000 exercises and more than 280 templates gives clinicians substantial programme-building resources.
Pro: Remote tracking spans adherence, outcomes, pain, wellness and RPE, supporting follow-up between visits.
Pro: The Pro plan bundles bookings, payments, notes and forms, and includes priority support.
Con: Free is capped at six clients and omits the clinic modules many practices need.
Con: Basic is limited to one user, and its £5/mo add-ons for appointments, invoicing, payments, treatment notes and forms can make a low starting price less representative of a clinic's actual needs.

Alternatives

Consider Phyzioline if you want a paid platform with Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, web and API support; its Professional Cloud plan is 599.00 EGP per month, billed 599 EGP/mo plus 14% VAT, or 682.86 EGP total, with yearly pricing of 6,469 EGP plus VAT.

Noterro may suit a practitioner looking for a paid option with Android, iOS and web support and a one-practitioner annual plan, while KinetiqTec is an alternative with a €39/month Solo plan for one practitioner that includes online booking, patient profiles, clinical notes, exercise programming and basic payments.

Apollo Practice Management offers a paid option across Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, with a Single plan at 108.00 USD per month for one practitioner and unlimited scheduling, billing and EMR. Empower EMR is another paid alternative, with AI Premium and AI Premium Plus plans listed without prices.

PtEverywhere may be worth considering for a paid platform with Android, iOS, web and API support; its Starter plan costs 49.00 USD per month and includes one therapist user and a 20-visit monthly appointment limit. OptimisPT is another alternative with web, iOS and Android support.

Verdict

Rehab Guru is a strong fit for rehabilitation and MSK practices that want exercise prescription, remote monitoring and clinic tasks under one roof. Its library, tracking and Pro feature bundle are persuasive reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if your clinic needs more than six free clients, multiple users on Basic, or a lower-cost way to bundle administration: the free tier is tightly capped and Basic's separate charges can add up.
