Step 1: Prepare A Clean Guide Performance
- Write the lyrics and record a dry vocal guide with the melody, timing, and phrasing you want to keep. Remove long silences and obvious clipping before upload.
- If you need an instrumental or isolated vocal, upload the file to LALAL.AI and choose the vocal or instrumental stem. Its Starter plan provides previews, but full result downloads are unavailable; paid plans add downloads and batch processing.
- Keep the guide and instrumental at the same sample rate and song length. Export a WAV or another format accepted by the next tool.
Step 2: Generate The First Sung Draft
- Open LyricToMelody AI and enter your lyrics or import MIDI.
- Choose the melody and arrangement you want, then generate a vocal draft.
- Upload or record your own vocal samples for custom singing-voice training. Generate another pass after the training step and compare consonants, pitch movement, and breath timing with your guide.

Step 4: Edit Pitch, Timing, And Stems

- Keep the instrumental, lead, doubles, and harmonies on separate tracks. This lets you replace one bad phrase without regenerating the whole song.
- For another pass, return to the same conversion tool and change only one variable, such as the guide take or model, so you can identify what improved.
Step 5: Check Consent And Release Rights
- Use only your own recordings or recordings from people who gave permission for voice training, conversion, and release. Do not imitate another artist without that artist’s authorization.
- Read the selected platform’s current terms for voice ownership, attribution, commercial use, model training, and generated audio before distributing the track. Step 6: Export A Release-Ready Master
- Export a full-resolution master from your DAW and retain the isolated vocal and instrumental stems.
- Listen on headphones, speakers, and a phone for robotic consonants, doubled syllables, and timing drift.
- Archive the guide recording, model or project files, permissions, and the plan terms that applied when you generated the song. Keep the final master separate from temporary previews.
