The record

Purpose: aptEDMS manages controlled documents, revisions, reviews, transmittals and retention in one register for engineering and capital projects.
Document types: It supports drawings and models, specifications and reports, procedures and policies, and certificates and records.
Revision control: Each issue creates a new append-only revision, while superseded revisions remain readable and marked.
Reviews and transmittals: Review workflows include named reviewers, working-day due dates and reminders; transmittals are sealed as ZIPs with a hash over the manifest.
Search and markup: The browser provides full-text search and document markup, including revision clouds, callouts, stamps, layers and calibrated measurement.
Reporting and records: Users can schedule drag-and-drop reports for PDF or Excel export, and apply retention rules, legal holds and companion-PDF rules.
Access and identity: Per-project roles are enforced by database-level row security; the site also lists single sign-on, SCIM provisioning and two-factor authentication.
Integrity and audit: The site says each revision has SHA-256 integrity and that revisions and workflow actions are append-only, with no update or delete policy for any role, including administrators.
Standards: aptEDMS describes ISO 19650 support as partial and says ISO 19650 naming validation is not built; its ISO 19475 assessment lists six areas conformant, three partial and seven not yet built.
Integrations and API: The site names SSO/OIDC and API access and describes CFIHOS reference data, facility tree and tag register support.
Notable limits: The site says a desktop CAD sync agent, ISO 19650 naming validation and virus scanning on upload are not built.
Data export: On leaving, customers can export the register to CSV and download documents, revisions and audit entries for free.
Demo and support: A live sample-project demo is available without sign-up or installation; the pricing page says all features are switched on in the demo.
Intended users: The site names energy and process, utilities, transport and infrastructure, manufacturing and life sciences, public sector, and engineering consultancies as target industries.
