The record

Purpose: Retain helps higher education institutions identify struggling students, route alerts to advisors, and track interventions through resolution.
LMS alerts: Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L activity feeds can trigger alerts based on attendance, grades, and engagement drops.
Faculty alerts: Faculty can flag a concern from a student profile, and the alert routes to the appropriate advisor.
Student referrals: Students can submit configurable self-referral forms that open a case on an advisor’s caseload.
Proactive rules: Configurable rules monitor attendance patterns, grade trajectories, missed appointments, and milestone slippage.
Case records: Cases include severity, assignment, resolution reasons, and change history, and soft deletes preserve records for compliance.
Shared care notes: Timestamped notes, labels, document attachments, and threaded comments let advising, tutoring, financial aid, and counseling contribute to one case.
Success scoring: Composite student success scores combine LMS engagement, attendance, milestone completion, and advising touchpoints.
Automation: Alerts can assign a cohort, start a drip campaign, or open a milestone automatically.
Platform integrations: The Retain page lists Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L Brightspace, Ellucian Banner, and PeopleSoft as systems it works with.
Security: ConexED says platform data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256, and that it is TX-RAMP certified and FERPA compliant.
Support: ConexED offers personalized ticket-based support, with email follow-up Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MST.
Audience: ConexED says it was built for higher education leaders and advisors, including CIOs, vice chancellors, and advisors supporting hundreds of students.
Pricing: The Retain page invites institutions to book a discovery call and does not display a price.
