What the maker publishes

Exports

Meetings can be exported as Markdown, plain text, JSON, SRT, VTT, and WAV audio. source

Integrations

The site says it works with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex, Slack huddles, or in-person conversations, without a meeting-platform plugin. source

Local storage

Audio is stored as WAV files and transcripts in a local database; recording content is not automatically uploaded. source

Network use

Network connections are used for model downloads, license activation and validation, and update checks; paid licenses require successful online validation at least every 30 days. source

No meeting bot

JesRecap captures audio already playing on the computer, so no bot or meeting plugin joins the call. source

Notes and summaries

JesRecap does not write summaries itself; Summary and Action items copy a prompt and transcript for use with an AI tool chosen by the user. source

Purpose

JesRecap records microphone and meeting audio, then transcribes it on the user's computer. source

Security claims

The maker says JesRecap has no external security certification and has not had an external security audit or penetration test. source

Separate tracks

It saves microphone and system audio separately and creates a mixed playback copy after the meeting. source

Support

Support is by email and answered by a person, with no formal support SLA. source

Supported computers

The site lists macOS 14.2 or later on Apple Silicon and Windows 10 or 11 on x64, and says there is no Linux build. source

Transcription

After recording stops, the Parakeet speech model transcribes locally and supports 25 European languages. source

Transcript tools

Transcripts are searchable and editable, with timestamps linked to the audio; users add speaker names themselves. source

Trial

The full app can be tried for 48 hours after email verification in the app, with no payment card required. source
