The record

Purpose: KidTally records child pickups, warns staff about custody-restricted guardians, and supports emergency roll calls for youth programs.
Pickup codes: Parents or staff can issue one-time six-digit pickup codes that staff verify at checkout; codes work once and expire.
Custody controls: Staff can mark guardians authorized, limited, or blocked, add custody notes, and record reasons for overrides.
Emergency roll call: Staff can confirm children on their phones or tablets and see which children remain unaccounted for during a drill.
Parent access: Parents can receive pickup codes and a private child-status link by text or email without installing an app or logging in.
Roster import and integrations: Programs can import rosters by CSV; the site names iClassPro and Jackrabbit as existing tools KidTally can work alongside.
Security: The maker says data is encrypted in transit and at rest, staff access is role-based, and safety actions are recorded in an append-only audit log.
Hosting and isolation: KidTally says it uses US-hosted cloud infrastructure with managed backups and isolates each program’s data from other programs.
Compliance: The security page says KidTally does not display certifications it does not hold and is building toward formal attestations.
Privacy: The privacy policy says KidTally does not sell or rent child or family data and does not use it for advertising.
Privacy policy status: The privacy policy labels itself a starting template and says it should be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch.
Support: The contact page says a real person reads messages, usually within one business day, and provides [email protected] for email.
Availability: The homepage says KidTally is in private beta and onboarding a small founding cohort; it says signup opens at launch and offers a live demo meanwhile.
