How to Improve Speed of Android Phone

Lately  I have played much around Custom ROMs and applications on my Nexus One, in order to have the best combination to reach the ultimate speed, however in Android we dont need to worry about memory managment, because Android System automatically stops unused and inactive services or applications.

But if you are sick and tired of waiting and suffering  from low free memory and if you want to reach beyond the basic performance of your Android phone, and feel the ultra speed, it’s time for you to take full control over your Android device.

Let’s Set The Turbo Engine !

The trick is based on rooting, which is a geeky term for gaining administrative access to your phone (Super User), so we need to have Root on our device that we want to speed it up. Once we have already gained full access to Android device, we can push it to its maximum limits.

1- Updated Custom ROM :

The best available custom ROMs is CyanogenMod or Miui, so check if it is supported in your Android phone, or check XDA forums for fastest Kernel for your device.

2- Applications :

Through my experience I discovered a few Applications that really improves Android memory management, working together will give you the best solution against  lags and memory bugs.

–  AutoKiller Memory Optimizer:

AutoKiller is an award winner minfree tweaker, it fine tunes android systems inner memory manager to keep your device fast over time. As a side effect it also lowers battery consumption. Also includes a manual process/service manager

What to Do ?:

– AutoKiller Memory Optimizer  –> Menu –> Presets –> Choose ( Strict – Aggressive – Extreme ) as you like more. then Apply.

– Menu –> Settings –> Check  :  Apply settings on boot + Enable advanced mode + Enable kill on click . go back to main interface and Apply again.

After we combined these applications, we must test the speed improvement Now. So you can Test Using These Apps

– Quadrant Standard Edition:

Quadrant is a CPU, I/O and 3D graphics benchmark. The Standard Edition requires an Internet connection to compute benchmark results and is supported by ads.The application does not work on devices with no GPU

– Linpack For Android:

This test is more a reflection of the state of the Android Dalvik Virtual Machine than of the floating point performance of the underlying processor. Software written for an Android device is written using Java code that the Dalvik VM interprets at run time. This is a simple benchmark test to show performance relative to other phones for a standard calculation. Linpack has been used for years on all types of computers

– AnTuTu Benchmark:

It can run a full test of a key project, through the “Memory Performance”,”CPU Integer Performance”,”CPU Floating point Performance”,”2D 3D Graphics Performance”,”SD card reading/writing speed”,”Database IO” performance testing on the mobile phone Performance of the hardware to make score
